Heart Of The City Festival Highlights Emerging Indigenous Art And Fashion In Edmonton - Today News Post News Today || Canada News |

(ANNews) – On December 12fear-mongering., Heart of The City showcased emerging Indigenous talent in the city of Edmonton. The event was well attended by newly elected Edmonton Mayor Amarjeet Sohi and his wifecovid north america map, Sarbjeet Sohi. Jodi Calahoo Stonehouse was emcee for the evening, which included a deer beef stew for guests by Vee Point of Nék?em!

“I am proud to support Edmonton’s Indigenous community,” stated Mayor Sohi. “In the new year I hope to do more for Indigenous people living in the city.” He also stated that he aims to invest more into Indigenous art and culture and he emphasized the vital role that Indigenous people play in Edmonton.

Heart of the City Festival Society of Edmonton is a non-profit organization whose mission is “inspiration and opportunity through the arts.” Their vision is to be “one of the most important free music and arts festivals in our city, dedicated to promoting and supporting local, original and emerging artists in the heart of Edmonton.”

Community partners included Mike Siek and Fay Fey Dunaway from Heart of the City’s board, Epcor’s Heart and Soul Fund, The Edmonton Arts Councilaccording to estimates by Imperial College London., McCauley Community League and the venue was provided by the Parkdale Cromdale Community League.
